Lifeguard Positions are available at the Belleayre Beach at Pine Hill Lake!

Qualifications for employment are:

  1. Minimum age is 15.
  2. At the time of employment, all candidates must posses current certifications in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or the equivalent) and the American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Certificate (or the equivalent). Also American Red Cross First Aid (or equivalent) if not included in lifeguard training course. All certifications must remain current through the entire operating season and must be provided before employment begins.
  3. New candidates must undergo an interview by regional staff; the purpose of which is to evaluate an individual's maturity, related work, or other experience along with the ability to communicate and demonstration of job related knowledge. The interview will be conducted without regard to sex, race, color, creed or national origin, marital status or physical or mental disability that does not relate to the ability to perform the duties of the position.
  4. After receiving a conditional offer of employment, each candidate will be required to submit a current" Medical Standards and Examination Findings" form with a physician's certification that the candidate is physically capable of performing lifeguard duties. A minimum of 20/40 uncorrected vision in each eye is required. If there is any question concerning a candidate's physical status, the returning lifeguard will be required to complete a standard medical examination. All medical records will be held in confidence.
  5. All lifeguards will be required to attend a lifeguard orientation program. Dates will be announced at a later date. All candidates will be required to bring copies of certifications to the orientation.

Candidates must be hardworking, dependable, customer friendly and willing to work weekends and holiday periods.

Love to Ski or Snowboard? Belleayre is looking for personable, snowsports enthusiasts to be part of our Mountain Ambassador program. The typical Ambassador is out going and there to help meet and greet our guests, as well as answer questions regarding basic mountain operations, trail conditions, and daily activities and events.


Want to become part of Belleayre's finest? Ski Patrol has a volunteer program open to anyone 18 years or older that can meet the following criteria:
-current American Red Cross of American Heart Association CPR/AED certification card
-pass US Ski Association Basic & Standard Ski Performance Test
-ability to ski all terrain in all conditions
-attend two mandatory practical and refresher courses prior to ski and snowboard season
