The air may be cold, but the laps have been hot with snow too good to stop! A chilly midweek haven has unfurled, with the plushest of packed powder conditions that gives way to the will of your edges. Our snowmakers have created what can only be described as “man made champagne powder” on Dot Nebel – if you were able to get to Lower Dot Wednesday, you got a real treat! But don’t fret if you missed out. The groomer machines will let the giant soft piles sit, and we get a manufactured powder day on that trail tomorrow! The fan guns have already shut down, as the winter wizards move their gaze for another snowmaking round on Papoose Landing, and Iroquois.

Dot Nebel and our usual bump runs aside, a magic eraser will swipe all the tracks we made Wednesday clean off the board, setting up another carpet of fanciful but very real machine groomed packed powder conditions on nearly 20 miles of trail. With a recent natural storm, 100% of our snowmaking terrain and most of our glades and natural snow trails are primed for exploring and fluff hunting. Albeit still on the chilly side to start, the thermostat will say it’s warmer with a high of 20 degrees after we get our share of rides up 8 lifts with partly cloudy skies and 5-10mph winds.
