Your Responsibility Code Always stay in control. You must be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. People ahead or downhill of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to safely avoid them. Stop only where you are visible from above and do not restrict traffic. Always stop in a place that is safe for you and others. Look uphill and avoid others before starting downhill or entering a trail. Always use devices to prevent runaway equipment. Read and obey all signs, warnings, and hazard markings. Keep off closed trails and out of closed areas. You must know how and be able to load, ride and unload lifts safely. If you need assistance, ask the lift attendant. Do not use lifts or terrain when impaired by alcohol or drugs. If you are involved in a collision or incident, share your contact information with each other and a ski area employee.

It’s going to be a great day, just not in the way that you expect. But that’s what makes the east coast… the east coast! The good news is it did in fact snow, about 2” – yay! In typical beast coast fashion, there will be a thin firm-ish layer to break through to chow down on it on the upper mountain. Our groomer fleet created blissful machine groomed packed powder conditions on our lower mountain trails, Roaring Brook, Route 9, Ridge Trail, and Deer Run. Ski patrol will need to assess our glades and natural snow trails before we are able to open them. As tempting as they may seem, the ropes will be up for a reason!

The bouts of snow have already cleared out before we powered up 8 of our lifts, and calm cloudy skies are planning to spend all of Sunday with us! Winds are minimal to start with a current temperature of 22 degrees, and expected to rise up to a high of 24 shortly after noon. Along with the temps, gusts will slightly increase between 10-15 mph.
