Your July 20-24 Midweek Activities Report

A drippy and drizzly pattern in the first half of the week bodes well for the weekend! Some passing rainstorms Tuesday and early Wednesday provide some needed hydration for the trees and plants, and the sun will come out to put their photosynthesis into high gear as we inch near the weekend! The last drop of rain will fall long before the Belleayre Beach resumes operations, swimming and splashing Wednesday through Monday. The sun will be shining bright and high from there on out, and when it begins to get low on Friday night, the jiving and grooving Roots Rock & Roll sounds of the Lara Hope Band will float out into the summer air for the first night of our FREE Music on the Belle series!

Every Friday night now through August 28 from 6pm-9pm, fresh new sonic flavors will be sampled at the Discovery Lodge with delectable tastes on hand with dinner specials, food trucks, and beverages keeping you refreshed and satisfied. Rounding out the senses, Scenic Gondola Rides will give your eyes a feast, treating you to golden-hour views of the towns and valleys below as they run a slightly modified evening schedule.

Even once the music fades for the evening, the early forecast for the rest of the weekend is showing a grand opportunity for on-mountain exploration! You can either expedite things and cruise your way to over 3,400 feet above sea level and take a Scenic Gondola Ride Friday – Sunday to the top of the highest ski area in the Catskills; or you can pay for the view in calories at any time, taking any one of multiple hiking routes you can arrange yourself from serene wooded singletrack on the lower mountain, to open alpine on the upper. Whether you want to play a quick 9 or a full round, our 18-hole Disc Golf course is up and running for throwers of all ability levels.

The stars and weather are aligning, and yet another week and weekend of laid-back mountain time is on tap… and we’re looking forward to drinking it all up with you!
