Hit the slope each weekend with the same group of coaches who gear each session to your needs and learning styles. Participants will be evaluated on the first weekend and placed in a group with others of similar age and ability.

Ability Levels:
For intermediate to advanced skiers and riders only.
Dates:
Programs will meet Saturdays and Sundays for 10 weeks, from January 4, 2025 through March 9, 2025.
Registration ends on December 15, 2024. Advanced registration is required and space is limited.
Times:
Mini Explorers, Mountain Explorers, and Instructors In Training meet from 9am to 1pm.
Adult Weekend Workshop meets from 9am to 11am.
Where:
All programs will begin and end behind the Longhouse Lodge.
Helmets:
Everyone participating in any of our season-long programs is required to wear helmets.

Mini Explorers

Is your little shredder interested in ripping up the mountain with other kids? If yes, the Mini Explorers program for them! Students will go on mountain adventures while focusing on skill development, mountain safety, mileage, and more, during this 10-week program. Our kid-friendly instructors will challenge the kids in a fun and supportive atmosphere with activities, drills, and games to help develop their skills.
Please note there are times that your Mini Explorer may need to ride the chair with an adult from the general public.

Ages:
5 & 6
Ability:
Intermediate to Advanced.
Children must be able to independently ride a chair lift, including getting on and off the chair without assistance.
Times:
9am to 1pm.

Mountain Explorers

The Mountain Explorer Program is a goal-oriented season-long program for children 7 years and older who are already skiing and riding on intermediate terrain. Our specially trained staff will connect with your child during this 10-week program to make the most of their experience on snow. Your child will have action-packed weekends full of adventure and learning while skiing with our pros. As an added bonus, you will be able to enjoy your time on the slopes, knowing your child is in our care in a fun and safe environment. This weekend program will help build strong friendships while developing all-mountain skiing and riding skills. Sessions are shaped around the various terrain found on the mountain including groomed trails, moguls, glades, steeps, and terrain parks. Groups are first formed based on age, then on skill level, and there may be times where groups will have varying ages.

Ability:
Intermediate to Advanced.
For kids who can comfortably handle blue terrain at a minimum.
The skier or rider must be proficient at making medium and short radius turns on blue terrain.
Must be able to independently ride a chair lift, including getting on and off the chair without assistance.

Instructors In Training

For Skiers looking toward a future lifestyle in the Snowsports Industry. You will learn the skills and knowledge to become a successful coach here at Belleayre! Learn what it’s like to work as an instructor, even if you have no experience other than knowing how to ski. You will learn to teach all ages and stages of development while improving your own skiing and riding skills. Become familiar with the technical components of teaching; what to teach and how to teach, all while promoting a safe learning environment. Kids will also develop important skills, such as communication, discipline, and leadership.

Ability:
Advanced.
Must be comfortable skiing on black terrain.
Ages:
13 to 17.
Times:
9 am to 1 pm.

Adult Weekend Workshop

Want to improve your skiing skills from some top-notch Pros and meet some new people? Or are you finding that your kids are skiing better than you and you want to improve your skills to keep up?
Join our 10-week Adult Weekend Workshop to help you advance your skills so you can ski on a wider variety of terrain and surface conditions. Invigorate your passion for skiing, meet new friends, learn from top-notch pros, and find the group that’s right for you. Explore the mountain and discover new tips and tricks to better your skiing experience. Groups range from intermediate (comfortable to skiing parallel on Blue Terrain) to advanced skiers and are organized by skill level and goals. You will be coached by our highly experienced instructors who provide very personalized attention throughout the season.

Intermediate and above skiers:

- Build your confidence as you move from intermediate to advanced runs, and from beginner to intermediate bump runs.
- Become more efficient by refining your fundamentals to develop better balance, technique, and consistency.
- Use a variety of turn shapes and tactics based on the terrain and conditions.
For Advanced Skiers:

- Expand your versatility using short, medium, and long turns in varying terrain and conditions.
- Refine your technique and master new tactics that will help you ski the entire mountain.
- Explore any challenge on the mountain including moderate to advanced moguls, glades, steeps, and more.
- Identify your strengths and skill deficiencies to help you fine-tune your technique.
