Overview
Take the Catskill Thunder Gondola to the summit of Belleayre Mountain for breathtaking views of the Catskill Forest Preserve.
Once you’ve reached the top, you can take a walk along the summit, have a picnic lunch, or just enjoy the peace and quiet. When you’re ready, you can either hike or take the gondola back down. Either way, bring your camera! You are sure to get some beautiful shots of the mountains and the wildlife.
Reservations are required for groups of 50 or more.

- Face coverings are required when a six (6) foot distance cannot be maintained among individuals unless they are members.
- Guests may board the Catskill Thunder Gondola with members of their party or alone.
- A face covering is required while waiting in line, and from the time of loading, throughout the duration of the ride, and when unloading.

10am to 5pm
The last round-trip gondola ride is at 4:45pm.
The last ride down from the summit is at 5:00pm.
The weather may affect lift operations. Dates and times are subject to change.

2020/2021 winter season passes include gondola access for scenic skyrides and hiking during the summer and fall during scheduled operating hours. (Excludes special events).
Scenic Gondola rides are also available during the ski season when the gondola is operating for the day. Please visit the Snow Report page to see if Catskill Thunder is scheduled to run.
Group Information
The Catskill Thunder Gondola is available for mid-week groups by appointment only. Groups must consist of 100 or more people. Please click here for more information and to make a group reservation.
Reservations are required for midweek groups and suggested for weekend groups! If you show up more than a half-hour past your reservation start time, the gondola will not operate and your deposit will be forfeited.
* It is very important to come on time as there are other groups at the mountain! If you are running late please call the mountain and let us know so that we can do our best to accommodate you.
