Year Round Positions

IT Technician

Belleayre, an ORDA managed facility, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented professional to join the team as an Information Technology Technician. The successful candidate will troubleshoot and solve problems for end-users on workstations and point of sale systems. Responsibilities include:

  • Installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all PC hardware and peripherals
  • Monitoring ORDA’s helpdesk queue and responding to tickets in a timely fashion
  • Applying IT service management principles to improve the ORDA helpdesk experience
  • Resolving network connectivity problems
  • Deploying IT hardware and services throughout the facility
  • Writing documentation and training staff
  • Low-voltage wiring
  • Server and network installation and maintenance
  • Acting as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and data.
  • Implementation and testing of backup and recovery operations
  • Installing, assembling and configuring both physical and virtual servers
  • Managing system backups, restoring and assisting in disaster recovery
  • Following all safety standards and procedures. Perform duties in a manner to maximize safety and minimize risk to self and others

This position requires a commitment to Belleayre’s Information Technology needs and understanding how they interface with successful operations. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, organized and a problem-solver.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Relevant Associate’s degree with a minimum of one year of full-time experience. Relevant experience may replace educational requirements on a year for year basis. IT service management experience is preferred.

SALARY: Dependent upon qualifications and skills. Belleayre Mountain an ORDA managed facility, located in Highmount NY is seeking an electrician. The successful candidate will be involved with electrical service; troubleshooting, repair, installation of electrical and systems and equipment including medium voltage distribution; low voltage controls; buildings; ski lifts; voice and data communications, using electrical power from milliamps to 15.8 kV. This person will report to the Electrical Department Supervisor and must be familiar with the electrical code. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as this person will communicate with vendors on technical information for troubleshooting and repair. Must be able to read and interpret machinery documentation, including prints and schematics, acquiring parts.

Qualifications: Minimum of four years’ practical experience and/or documented completion of technical courses and a valid driver’s license.

Pay Rate: Compensation – Wage dependent upon qualifications; benefits per CSEA / ORDA contract.

Belleayre Mountain, located in the Catskills and home to New York’s first chair lift, is seeking a full-time, year-round Department Head to be in charge of Lift Maintenance. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: overseeing and assisting in the repair of electrical/mechanical components of ski lifts while at the same time ensuring the safety of both employees and guests; providing instructions on safe and proper operational procedures; monitoring daily operations of lifts; operating heavy equipment and all-terrain vehicles; and troubleshooting lift malfunctions. The candidate will act as a working supervisor and is be responsible for overall safety of the Lift Maintenance department; estimating repair and maintenance costs; generating materials lists; ordering and maintaining tools and supplies; efficiently managing a crew; tracking progress; communicating with outside vendors; and communicating with Management directly both orally and via email. This individual must also work closely with and assist other various departments at Belleayre. The Lift Maintenance Department Supervisor reports directly to the Mountain Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience in ski lift maintenance plus two years of relevant experience. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience also required. Ability to climb towers 60’ in height; ability to lift 50-75 lbs. repeatedly. Working knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the safe operation of the department; working knowledge of the practices, facility standards codes and regulations applicable to the department; ability to prepare oral and written reports; and ability to train and supervise others with an emphasis on teamwork and productivity.

WAGE: Grade 16 entry rate $22.12 per hour, plus benefits as defined under the labor agreement with CSEA. Lifeguarding at Belleayre



  1. Minimum age is 16.
  2. At the time of employment, all candidates must possess current certifications in American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer (or the equivalent) and the American Red Cross Waterfront Lifeguarding Certificate (or the equivalent). Also, American Red Cross First Aid (or equivalent) if not included in the lifeguard training course. All certifications must remain current throughout the entire operating season. Candidates may participate in the lifeguard qualifying procedure without the above certifications; however, they must be provided before employment begins.
  3. As per the Agency standard, lifeguard candidates must meet the vision requirement of 20/70 uncorrected vision in both eyes and be correctable to the 20/40 standard.

Snowsports Instructors – Ski & Snowboard

Do you have impressive skills in skiing or riding? Love working with people? The Snowsports Team could be for you, where you’ll teach both children and adults to ski and snowboard. Knowledge of skiing/riding and ski slopes needed. Instructor Training Course (ITC) is required for all new hires.

Adaptive Ski & Snowboard Instructors

Teach both children and adults with disabilities to ski or snowboard. Knowledge of skiing/riding and ski slopes needed. Instructor Training Course (ITC) is required for all new hires.

Terrain Park Attendants

”Crew” is the main word here! Spend your winter building and maintaining the terrain park features where all the shredding magic happens. You’ll also work with mountain operations. Knowledge of skiing/riding and ski slopes needed.

Lift Operators & Lift Attendants

Assist guests with safe, efficient, and courteous loading and unloading of lifts. Attendants are responsible for maintaining ramps as well as scanning season passes and lift tickets. Knowledge of Belleayre a plus.


As a Snowmaker you’ll check snowmaking equipment (valves, water lines, etc.) and reposition snow guns on the mountain. Enjoy the bragging rights that YOU play an integral part in why the trails are so awesome at Belleayre. On-site training available.

Snow Reporter

As a snow reporter, you get to be the voice of the mountain. That, of course, may mean first tracks on a powder day! Responsibilities include updating & distributing the daily snow reporting across several outlets, video shoots as an on-camera personality, be pretty good with a camera, and most importantly be a morning person. Working knowledge of photo and video editing software is needed.

Ticket Sellers

Have you been told you’re a people person? Well, that’s what we are looking for in our ticket sellers! Sell lift tickets, season passes, frequent skier products and lessons; answer phones, and rock your excellent customer service skills. Position requires knowledge of computers.

Reservation Agents

Love the outdoors but looking to work inside? We have that too! Reservationists are responsible for booking group sales, group lessons, private lessons and other packages for individuals over the phone or in-person with guests. Must be detail-oriented, have a personable phone demeanor and will require to work on the front-line.

Kidscamp Support Staff

Support Staff help assist with kiddos enrolled in the Kidscamp program. Duties include help to get the children ready to go out on snow, escort kids in and out of the building to designated teaching areas, help serve lunch and snacks at breaks, and possibly be on snow with lessons. Skiing/riding is not required for this position.


Groom trails and operates snowcats, primarily at night. Heavy equipment experience preferred knowledge of skiing/riding and ski slopes needed.

Parking Attendants

Give our guests a warm welcome while assisting them with instructions for parking. Other duties include: keeping parking areas clean and orderly.

Building Maintenance

Assist with keeping our buildings in tip-top shape for our guests. Job duties include janitorial work, cleaning lodges, and snow removal.

Shuttle Bus Operators

Transport our guests from parking lots to Lodges. Must have a valid driver’s license with a minimum of CDL Class B.


The security department is responsible for the safety of employees, guests, and the property. Security patrols the grounds, intervene in situations with guests, staff, and others as necessary, and assist in all money movement throughout and outside of the resort.

Mountain Hosts (Ambassadors)

Mountain hosts provide service in a variety of areas including greeting and providing information to guests, assist with special events on and off the snow, greeting group tour buses, and administering guest surveys. The most important jobs our mountain hosts have been to send the Belleayre guests off with a smile on their face and to help them have a great experience on the mountain. This is a non-paid position and all members must complete 100 hours per season.

Ski Patrol

As a ski patroller, you are responsible to promote on hill skier safety, educating guests of the Skier’s and Rider’s Responsibility Code, provide pre-hospital emergency care, opening/closing trails, and removing hazards off trails. Ski patrol is a highly visible role on the mountain, and a great deal of guest interaction is required.

Centerplate is Belleayre’s on-mountain concessionaire and managers the rentals, retail, and food & beverage operations for the mountain.
