Year Round Positions
JANITORIAL SUPERVISOR
Belleayre Mountain, an ORDA managed facility, is seeking to hire a Labor Supervisor I. This position is a full time, year-round position that will Supervise the Janitorial Department.
Janitorial Supervisor:
The supervisor will be a working supervisor, responsible for planning the work, assigning the staff, providing instruction and assistance, and inspecting the work. They will be required to make sure that the staff follows all the procedures for a safe operation. They are responsible to make sure that all mandatory reports for the department are completed and they will be expected to complete and work within the annual budget created for the department.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience. Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation:
The entry rate will be based upon experience. Benefits pursuant to CSEA Contract including health, dental, and vision insurances; paid time off; participation in NYS and Employees Retirement Systems; and the ability to participate in New York State Deferred Compensation, a qualified 457-b retirement savings plan.

ASSISTANT SKI PATROL DIRECTOR
Belleayre Mountain, an ORDA managed facility, is seeking an Assistant Ski Patrol Director. This is a full-time, year-round position that will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Ski Patrol while focusing on creating a positive work environment and building a strong team through effective training and leadership. The successful candidate will work as a supervisor and be tasked with: day-to-day decision making; complete accurate, and timely reporting; as well as planning and implementing strategies for the future growth of Belleayre’s Ski Patrol. Primary responsibilities include: promoting a culture of safety for guests and employees; reporting potentially hazardous equipment and safety related incidents to his/her immediate supervisor or appropriate department(s); working with ORDA’s Risk Manager, Ski Patrol Director, and Venue Management to implement a guest risk management plan as part of daily operations of ski patrol and training; responding to guest accidents/emergencies as necessary; overseeing daily operations of the Ski Patrol and ensuring that the department is functioning appropriately in the absence of the Ski Patrol Director; assisting with development and implementation of resort safety initiatives; helping develop and deliver contents of refresher; promoting a culture of excellent customer service; overseeing and ensuring quality of training and implementing new strategies when necessary; and other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current Outdoor Emergency Care certification; National Ski Patrol member in good standing; computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar application); ability to ski/ride all areas of the mountain; must be able to lift 75 lbs.

LIFT MECHANICS
These positions perform skilled mechanical work in lift repair and maintenance of all the chair lifts and surface lifts on the mountain. Must be able to climb towers and be willing to work in all kinds of inclement weather. Must be able to operate a variety of power-driven tools and other specialty tools related to the task.
Incumbents may be assigned to related activities in the vehicle maintenance department and in the general operation of the facility.
Minimum qualifications:
Required to perform light maintenance and repairs. On-mountain training will be provided. Applicants must possess a valid current driver’s License.
Salary:
Will be based on knowledge and experience. ELECTRICIAN
Belleayre Mountain is seeking an electrician. The successful candidate will be involved with electrical service; troubleshooting, repair, installation of electrical and systems and equipment including medium voltage distribution; low voltage controls; buildings; ski lifts; voice and data communications, using electrical power from milliamps to 15.8 kV. This person will report to the Electrical Department Supervisor and must be familiar with the electrical code. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required as this person will communicate with vendors on technical information for troubleshooting and repair. Must be able to read and interpret machinery documentation, including prints and schematics, acquiring parts.
Qualifications:
Minimum of four years’ practical experience and/or documented completion of technical courses and a valid driver’s license.
Salary:
Wage dependent upon qualifications; benefits per CSEA / ORDA contract. ORDA offers an excellent benefits package including health, dental and vision insurances; paid leave (vacation, sick and personal leave); and membership in the NYS Retirement System.
