Discovery Lodge Renovations

The winter season is rolling into high gear, and all of us at Belleayre are thrilled to welcome you to our 75th winter season. This incredible milestone is an opportunity to celebrate both our storied past and the exciting future we’re creating on the mountain.

One of the most significant transformations underway is the ongoing renovation of the Discovery Lodge. Once completed, it will offer even more comfort and convenience, enhancing your time with us on the mountain. We deeply appreciate your patience and support as we work to make these improvements a reality.

Here’s everything you need to know to plan your visit:

Lodges & Services

  • Overlook Lodge: Fully Operational with all food, beverage, guest services, ticketing, and seasonal lockers.
  • Discovery Lodge: Partially open with the following available:
    • Guest Services, ticket sales, retail, and lockers.
    • Bar/lounge area with seating.
    • Food options available via a food truck and bar.
    • Additional areas will open as renovations are completed.
  • Lift Tickets: Like previous years, capacity restrictions remain in place this season. Tickets may sell out online and will not be available to purchase on-site if sold out. Be sure to purchase early to secure your spot!
  • Rentals: We’re thrilled to share that we’re transforming our rental shop into a state-of-the-art rental center to enhance your experience! During this transition, rentals have been relocated to a convenient temporary building right in front of the lodge.
    • To ensure you have the gear you need, all rentals must be reserved online in advance. Just like lift tickets, rentals will not be available for purchase on-site if they sell out online, so be sure to secure your gear early.
    • Rentals must be purchased at least 2 day prior to your arrival.
  • Snowsports: We’re as excited as you are to get group lessons underway! While they aren’t available just yet, we’re actively working on the logistics to make it happen. Currently, our rental shop and Kidscamp program are sharing the same space, and need to figure out how to ensure a seamless experience for everyone. In the meantime, private lessons are available to help you for your lessons needs.

  • Overlook Lodge:
    • Marketplace – Open Daily 8am to 4pm. Located on the lower level of the Overlook Lodge. Grab classics like burgers, soups, Belleayre’s famous chili, chicken tenders, salads, and more.  View Menu
    • Bar Area – Open Daily from 11am to 5pm.  Located on the main level of the Overlook Lodge.
    • Groomer’s Pub – Open Weekends & Holiday Periods from 11am to 4pm. Located on the main level of the Overlook Lodge.  View Menu
    • Draper’s Café – Open Weekends & Holiday Periods from 11am to 4pm.  View Menu
  • Discovery Lodge: While the Discovery Marketplace is closed for now, you’ll still find something to keep you fueled.
    • Discovery Bar is open daily from 11am to 5pm.
    • Discovery Lodge Cafe Kiosk – Open daily from 8am to 4pm.  Located next to the Discovery Lodge Bar.  Serving quick snacks and Grab & Go options that are available in the lounge area.
    • My Cousin Vinnie’s is open daily from 9am to 4pm.  Located inside as well on the main level.  View Menu
  • Holy Smoked Meats Food Truck:
    • Open Thursday through Sunday.
    • Parked by the Discovery Lodge, this food truck is all about smoked goodness. Pulled pork, brisket, chicken, nachos, fries, and chili.  View Menu
  • Cousin Vinnie’s Food Truck:
    • Open Daily from 9am to 4pm.
    • Located in the Discovery Lodge and in Parking Lot E near the Hawk Quad, Vinnie is serving it all: breakfast sandwiches, burgers, cheesesteaks, tenders, pretzels, mozzarella sticks, soups, cinnamon buns, donuts… the list goes on.  View Menu
  • Sunset Lodge:
    • Open Daily from 10am to 3pm.
    • Located unloading area of the Belleayre Express.
    • The Sunset Lodge will be serving tasty burgers and handcut fries.  View Menu
  • Waffle Cabin:
